TAO Suite

In the world of Semantic Web Services, there are two most important, used and mature frameworks for Semantic Web Services. These frameworks are OWL-S and WSMO. But for developing a system based on one of these Semantic Web Services frameworks, to study and to know the selected framework is not enough, but it’s also necessary to study and to use some tools and infrastructures (provided by other projects) which support those Semantic Web Services frameworks.

The purpose of this report is to study and analyze the major tools and infrastructures based on OWL-S and WSMO frameworks. But besides, in our case from TAO project, it’s necessary to integrate other tools in addition to the Semantic Web Services tools and infrastructures. These other tools and infrastructures are according to the main tasks of TAO project, which are Learning Web Service Ontologies, Automatic Semantic Augmentation of Legacy Content and Scalable, Heterogeneous Knowledge Stores. Therefore this report also makes a short study of the main tools and infrastructures which support those tasks. And finally, this report presents the first recommendation and a proposal of architecture for developing the software system resulted of TAO project: TAO Suite.
