MONDECA - Role in TAO Project

 

A limitation of ITM is that the ontology is manually modelled according to each application’s need. Therefore, the goal in TAO has been to learn automatically the ontology from the application itself and then improve it in an iterative process before importing it in ITM. Thus the TAO overall ontology modelling process has been proven the future commercial applications.

 

Mondeca implemented large-scale Semantic Web Services and contributed to the TAO methodology for transitioning applications to ontologies. Last but not least, Mondeca has participated in the dissemination and exploitation activities due to their rich experience in this area.
